New level, QOL and PVP changes!
There has been a decently big update, mainly adding a 2nd level and a few QOL updates and PVP changes. These changes are meant to make the game more fun and allow VS games to last longer.
QOL:
You can now more easily interact with items right under you if they are flat and hard to pick up
You still cannot pick up items you’re 10x big enough to pick up, this is to stop you from getting items small players need.
Items 5x smaller than you can pick up do not add to your roll shape, this helps prevent clipping into the ground.
Added a background to the HUD, making it more clear. Stability stat also added to the HUD on all VS levels.
There is a loading screen now, if you host a lobby it takes a fraction of a second but if you join a lobby it may take 10 seconds to load in. Everything is done during this initial loading screen, it only appears once when you enter a lobby.
Any item that is too far away from you will not render. This should help performance.
A sound plays when you pick up an item. You can also hear other players pick up items.
VS changes:
New “Stability” system, whenever you take damage caused by another player, you lose stability.
When stability hits 0 half of your items return to where they once spawned.
Your stability is refilled when it hits 0
Every 10 items collected increase your stability by 1, going over your max stability increases it.
Dashing now makes you more powerful, dashing into an opponent has a good chance to knock items off of them, even if they seem much larger than you.
You cannot be damaged by someone 10 times as big as you or bigger
More weapons have been added! Hammer: Throw hammers. Strong but slow.
Tent: Shoot people out of the tent. Strong but slow. UFO: Sphere of damage, very low damage but high attack rate. Whale: Long range fast weak bullets Rock: Non-mobile attack, stays for a while When attacked you now drop the item the weapon was, but do not lose the weapon’s attack.
New feature:
Size walls. You can only go through them if you are a certain size, this will be displayed on the wall itself.
New level:
New level, based on a street and a big park.
Each player starts in a quadrant, all 4 quadrants are made as equal as possible, the only thing unbalanced is the very center which requires you to be quite large.
Each player has a starting area and they need to get to a specific size to exit it.
This starting area is special, because you cannot enter other player’s starting areas and it can be seen as a safe area of sorts.
There are about 100 unique items across both levels.
Lastly:
Added downloads if you want to play the game right on your computer. The game is the same but it generally has less lag!
